Experience in one to one coaching

Neil is an experienced and purpose driven Executive Leadership Coach and Mentor with a particular interest in coaching in the ‘not for profit’ and state sector after working in these sectors for over 20 years in both the UK and Ireland.
Neil has coached senior and developing leaders as well as Boards, in both individual and team settings. His focus is on developing individual and team effectiveness around a clear organisational purpose supported by a strong and positive coaching culture. He recognises the essential balance between maintaining a ‘social heart and business brain’ in leading such organisations and believes that with the right leadership thinking, the two concepts can be easily aligned.
School Principals work in an environment of constant change and through coaching, Neil helps leaders and organisations to become more resilient and adaptive to change. Through individual coaching, Neil has helped leaders to develop greater self-awareness of their impact on team dynamics and performance, which through their own personal development, has led to the development of more positive, effective and psychologically safe organisational cultures.
A self-confessed ‘systems thinker,’ Neil also works with individual leaders to develop a broader understanding of the wider system they work in, and how, through collaboration the leader can work with others to deliver the best outcomes for the child, the school and wider community.
Neil is currently undertaking a Professional Diploma in Organisational Transformation and Change at the Smurfit Business School.
